What Emface is
Emface is a non-invasive device that delivers two things to the face simultaneously: high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy that triggers approximately 75,000 facial muscle contractions per 20-minute session, and radiofrequency heating to the dermis that stimulates collagen and elastin remodeling. No needles, no injectables, no downtime. You wear pads over the relevant muscle groups; the device drives the work.
What the published data shows
Clinical results across the studies cited by the manufacturer:
- 30% improvement in muscle tone
- 23% lifting effect
- 37% reduction in wrinkles
- 26% increase in collagen production
- 129% increase in elastin production
These numbers are device-published. Your result depends on your starting collagen, skin elasticity, age, sun history, and how consistent you are with the recommended series.
What a session feels like
Patients describe rapid muscle contractions, a warming sensation, and occasional involuntary squinting or facial expressions as the muscles fire. Often compared to a warm facial massage. It can feel strange. It does not hurt.
Treatment areas
Cheeks, jawline, forehead, brows, under-eyes, and the submentum (under-chin). The submentum treatment specifically helps jawline definition and the soft tissue beneath. Emface Functional, an FDA-approved option, supports patients with TMJ-related jaw tension and discomfort.
Pacing and longevity
A typical series is four sessions, spaced about one week apart. Results build over the weeks following and typically last about one year. Maintenance every nine to twelve months keeps the work.
Where Emface fits
Emface is collagen and muscle-tone work. It does not replace what filler does (deep volume) or what surgical lift does (gravitational descent). It often delays both, and it pairs well with PRP under-eye rejuvenation for the patient working on facial skin quality broadly.
Safety
Not appropriate for patients with implanted electronic devices, metal facial implants, certain dermal fillers (we’ll review timing), or active pregnancy. We confirm candidacy at consult.
