Frequently asked

The questions we get most often, answered directly.

If you don’t see your question, call your clinic or send a note through the contact form. We’d rather you ask than guess.

Getting started

How do I get started?

Call the Newberg clinic at 503-482-6888 or the Lake Oswego clinic at 503-863-2018 to schedule an intake. The intake visit is $399 and includes one hour with your physician, the comprehensive panel, and a follow-up visit one to two weeks later to review results. There is no obligation to enroll in a membership until after that follow-up.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Sometimes. We keep a cancellation list. If you need to be seen urgently, call the clinic and ask to be added to it.

Do you offer telemedicine?

Yes. Telemedicine plus remote blood draws are available for patients in Oregon and Washington.

Membership & billing

Do I have to commit to a membership for a specific period?

No. We do discuss a realistic timeline once we’ve reviewed your bloodwork. For most hormone optimization patients, the time to get hormones into balance is six months to a year. You can cancel any time with thirty days’ notice.

Do you take insurance?

We do not bill insurance and are not in-network with any insurance provider. The American insurance model isn’t aligned with proactive, preventive care or with the length of visits we run. You can use HSA or FSA funds for our services, and we provide super-bills you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. If we think additional medications, supplements, or treatments would help, we discuss them with you first.

Care details

How often will follow-up visits be?

It depends on the treatment. The first year typically involves more frequent follow-ups while we get a protocol dialed in. After that, follow-up cadence settles into something sustainable for your case.

Do you offer screenings like pap smears and prostate exams?

Not at this time. You’ll need a separate primary care provider for those.

How are labs handled?

Most blood work is drawn in-clinic at your visit. For telemedicine patients in Oregon and Washington, we coordinate remote draws.

What to expect at the intake

How long is the first visit?

One full hour with a physician, plus the blood draw.

What happens after?

One to two weeks later you come back for a results-review visit. Your physician walks you through the panel, proposes a treatment plan, and answers questions. You decide whether to move forward at that point.

What if I’m not sure I want to commit?

You don’t commit at the intake. The intake fee covers the visit and the panel. The decision to enroll in monthly care happens after the follow-up, with the panel in front of you.

Conditions and services

What conditions do you treat?

The most common ones: perimenopause and menopause, andropause and low testosterone, weight resistance and metabolic dysfunction, thyroid dysfunction, chronic fatigue with hormonal or metabolic root, joint pain and tendon injury, and aesthetic concerns through the Lake Oswego program.

What services do you offer?

See the full pricing & how it works page or the service pages directly: bioidentical HRT, women’s hormone therapy, men’s hormone therapy, medical weight loss, IV nutrient therapy, PRP & regenerative, and the aesthetics program.

Are you a primary care practice?

We function as comprehensive adult primary care for our members, with the caveat that we don’t do pap smears or prostate exams. For most patients, Radiance handles the panel-based, hormone-aware, prevention-focused part of their care, and a separate provider handles the screening exams we don’t do.
