How I practice

I treat the whole person: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. That sounds soft. In practice it means I read the panel and the symptoms together, treat what the labs show, and make space for the parts of a patient’s life that the labs can’t see. Most of what I work on at the Newberg clinic is metabolic and hormonal: weight that won’t move, fatigue that won’t lift, sleep that won’t hold, gut function that’s slowly degraded, and the cluster of symptoms that lands on women in perimenopause and menopause.

I’m comfortable combining bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, peptide therapy, and micro-dose GLP-1 medications when the case calls for it. I’m equally comfortable saying that a patient doesn’t need any of those, just structural changes upstream.

How I trained

I earned my doctorate from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, now the Sonoran University of Health Sciences, in 2016. Before that I completed a bachelor’s in biomedical sciences at the University of Wisconsin and additional study at National University of Health Sciences.

After graduating I completed a naturopathic residency in family medicine here in Oregon and then spent five years in a busy primary care clinic. That stretch was where I built my fluency with the breadth of presentation: pediatrics, women’s health, diabetes, thyroid, hormones. The breadth is what makes me good at sorting a confusing case now.

How I got here

I came to natural medicine the way a lot of practitioners do: through my own health problems in my early twenties. I started in a natural clinic in Wisconsin focused on digestive health. When my husband Alex and I moved to Australia, I worked at a holistic clinic in Sydney called Alkaline. The nutrition work I did there is what convinced me to go to medical school.

What I focus on at Radiance

  • Women’s hormone optimization, with particular focus on PCOS, PMDD, and the menopause transition
  • Thyroid evaluation and treatment beyond a single TSH reading
  • Medical weight loss using GLP-1 therapy, peptide protocols, and metabolic root-cause work
  • Gut and digestive function as a driver of hormone and weight symptoms
  • Functional medicine for fatigue, brain fog, insomnia, and inflammation

Outside the clinic

Four kids: Bray, Toula, Cade, and Nora. Most of what isn’t the clinic is the four of them.

A note from Dr. Keddie

“I treat what the labs show and what the patient is telling me, together. The two have to line up before I prescribe anything.”
